What do the twin sisters feel when combing their grandparents' attic? How would they cope with the encounter of family secrets? In resignation they pause to reflect on what they've just before seen.
Biography:
Flokje van Lith (The Netherlands, 1969) studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague. For many years she worked as portrait photographer commissioned by both companies and private clients. Since 2011 she focuses more on independent work. After having completed her first autonomous series in 2011, it got selected for the prestigious FotoFestival Naarden, soon after which participation in international exhibitions and art fairs followed. Van Lith's meticulously crafted images have won international awards. In short, her work can be characterized as painting with photography. |
