Title:Bietschhorn Mountain
The Bietschhorn montain in Switzerland is illuminated by giant toches. The Canton of Valais celebrated it's 200 years of affiliation to Swiss Confederation by lighting mountains on its territory.
Biography:
Born in 1966, Switzerland. As a young man I was fascinated by photography and studied at the Schule fuer Gestaltung in Bern and Ecole d'Art Applique in Vevey.
In the early years I worked as a freelance photographer for press media and on assignments. Now I work as a stringer photographer for the news agency Thomson Reuters Pictures and I am a member of the Vienna based photo agency ASAblanca.
Most of my work is documentary photography and my projects focus on the region I live. Based in the Canton of Wallis in southern Switzerland I work with the daily life of people & their traditions. |
