Title:Over the Border
Over the border, Idomeni, Greek-Macedonian border, Greece. Migrants from countries such as Eritrea, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan were barred from crossing into Macedonia along the Balkan route. Unable to cross the border legally and with nothing to lose, those caught by Macedonian forces climbed, at their own risk, over the Greek border, only to attempt to cross back into Macedonia at a secluded part of the fence.
Biography:
Filip Warwick is a photojournalist reporting on human conflict, humanitarian crisis, historical and social issues in Central & Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East.
He has covered the 2014 Ukrainian revolution, the war in eastern Ukraine, the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, the European refugee crisis, the Iraqi Civil War, the Syrian Civil War and the Libyan refugee crisis.
