Title:Blue Fugue
Almere is a city next to Amsterdam that was invented on the drawing board. in 2018-2019 I got a commission to create a photo series about the city's architecture in my particular way.
Biography:
Geometric patterns, rhythm and lines are driving forces in my work. What fascinates me in photography is the interplay between realistic registration and geometric abstraction. This is why I often choose to photograph (elements of) architecture. Apart from its functions (housing, office space, contemplation), architecture also has a graphical, abstract dimension which is a primary focus of my photography. |
