Title:Milk Offering Walk to Purification
The two lady Hindu devotees dressed in yellow started their bare footed walk from the Sri Maha Mariaman Temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from midnight in celebration of Thaipusam. They passed through the city center to the colorful Batu Caves Temple which is approximately 15 kilometers away. Each lady bore a pot of milk each on their heads as offerings to Lord Murugan. It signifies their devotion to fulfill vows for the year and to give thanks to Lord Murugan. Their devotional walk with the milk pot required them to be physically and mentally focused and strong.
