Title:Fire Escapism II
Part 2 of my ongoing series of New York fire escapes. According to me, these stairs are very typical of the city of origin. The series is a tribute to the rhythm and dynamics of New York city.
Biography:
Geometric patterns, rhythm and lines are driving forces in my work. What fascinates me in photography is the interplay between realistic registration and geometric abstraction. This is why I often choose to photograph (elements of) architecture. Apart from its functions (housing, office space, contemplation), architecture also has a graphical, abstract dimension which is a primary focus of my photography. |
