Title:Concrete Poem
Confined to my studio I let imagination take over once again. It all started with a building in Amsterdam that invited me to tweak, repeat, reflect and add, including a swan that swam by.
Biography:
Geometric patterns, rhythm and lines are driving forces in my work. What fascinates me in photography is the interplay between realistic registration and geometric abstraction. This is why I often choose to photograph (elements of) architecture. Apart from its functions (housing, office space, contemplation), architecture also has a graphical, abstract dimension which is a primary focus of my photography. |
