Title:Child worker resting after hard work
The photograph was taken in a municipal dumping ground in Howrah, India. The child worker is working in a plastic sorting godown on the street. The godown owners purchase these plastic wastes from scavengers / collectors. They employ children for sorting these wastes in godowns inside or outside on the street, and sell the sorted products, plastics / metal / fabrics/ papers, everything that can be re-cycled to the recycling factories. In this photograph we see a child worker taking rest after hard work. I took this photograph to show the poor conditions of these downtrodden child workers of India.
