Town Square
Title:Town Square
A line up of different Dutch facades around a square in the city Almere was the original subject I captured. I isolated the line up and I recreated the feeling of a closed square.

Biography: Geometric patterns, rhythm and lines are driving forces in my work. What fascinates me in photography is the interplay between realistic registration and geometric abstraction. This is why I often choose to photograph (elements of) architecture. Apart from its functions (housing, office space, contemplation), architecture also has a graphical, abstract dimension which is a primary focus of my photography.
