Biography:
Avigail Schimmel was born in Jerusalem, Israel where she graduated from the Bezalel Art Academy, Jerusalem in 1995. In 1996 she left Israel and after traveling extensively through Chile she finally settled in New York City. In New York Avigail worked as a professional photographer, freelancing at Sotheby’s New York and shooting for various editorials including the New York Times magazine. Her work was featured in galleries and museums in New York, Israel and Europe. In 2005 Avigail moved to Paris where she now is based.
