Biography:
Winta Yohannes was born in Eritrea and raised in Germany, from the age of three. Entranced by the power of images, she developed a passion for photography from an early age. In her visceral approach she looks to explore and capture what is hidden underneath the transitory moments in her work.
“Photography is my attempt to understand the world. It’s a journey that ultimately leads to the question ‘why are we here?’, and along that path comes everything else, life”.
