2nd Place - Merit of Excellence Title: The Undertaker This photograph was taken when my siblings and I were picking out the urn for my mother’s ashes. The experience was so surreal for me. Sitting at the end of this long sterilized table with this somber man making sure we all felt my mother’s remains were in capable hands. I cannot say what possessed me to take a picture at this inopportune time but I am glad I did. I feel my mom laughing at it all.
