Honorable Mention Title:Palm Trees, Sarasota This image is part of an iPhone photography project called “Rainy Season” which explores a strange and darkly beautiful aspect of Florida during the stormy summer months. In this series, the viewer is often looking through a wet window as the menacing elements impact the beautiful tropical landscape outside. “Rainy Season” casts a complicating light on notions of idealized places, on our relationship to the natural world and on human vulnerability.
