Biography:
My photography course tutor at Westminster Adult Education college once told me, as he returned a documentary project about decaying and neglected parts of my hometown, my problem was that I made everything look pretty. I don't think of it as a problem any more, though. I just always - still - look for beauty in a person, a setting, a situation. It is that which I attempt to make visible in my pictures, honestly and without having to gloss over anything. After all, beauty is not always obvious.
