Biography:
Maria is originally from Norway but currently living and working in the UK. Maria's photography is based on carefully staged scenes, where she controls all elements within the frame to depict narratives that investigates psychology related to personal emotions and ideas. Her work is performance-based self-portraiture and has been described as being a mixture of humour and poignancy. Besides being a photographer Maria is a Social Anthropologist and much of her work is commenting on society as well as questioning how we engage and interact with our surroundings. |
