Biography:
Gaby Sommer is a German independent photographer concentrating on environmental portraiture and documentary photo essays for magazines and public relations. Special field: Portraiture of personalities and leaders of economy and industry, politics and administration.
After being stringer with the AP in Frankfurt (from 1980 - 1983), she was the photo correspondent for the french photo agency GAMMA in Germany. In 1985 she then joined the staff photographers of Reuters in Berlin and Bonn and was the first accredited photo correspondent for REUTERS in former East Germany.
