Title:The Sheep Trek
Herd of sheep is on path through Taelli canyon in Aletsch region in Valais, Switzerland. 50 years ago, this path has been carved into the rock to make the route from Belalp to Aletschji passable.
Biography:
Born in 1966, Switzerland. As a young man I was fascinated by photography and studied at the Schule fuer Gestaltung in Bern and Ecole d'Art Applique in Vevey.
In the early years I worked as a freelance photographer for press media and on assignments. Now I work as a stringer photographer for the news agency Thomson Reuters Pictures and I am a member of the Vienna based photo agency ASAblanca.
Most of my work is documentary photography and my projects focus on the region I live. Based in the Canton of Wallis in southern Switzerland I work with the daily life of people & their traditions. |
