Biography:
Gjert Rognli works as a multidisciplinary artist, with film, photography, sculpture and performance. In his works, Rognli draws in references from his belonging to Arctic Northern Norway, his Sami cultural heritage, to light, darkness and the seasons. Rognli takes nature and natural forces into the works with references to the surreal and mythological. Rognli has received a number of international art, television, photography and film awards for his works, and has had many separate and collective exhibitions at home and abroad, including the Louvre Museum in Paris.
