Biography:
After studying art and photography Philip E James has been creating atmospheric imagery for advertising for two decades. Implementing the use of in camera manipulation pre photoshop, he now continues to 'build' images and experiment using in house retouching, CGI and moving image techniques through his creative production company Shadowplay.
His award winning work has an epic, cinematic touch, full of graphic detail and hidden meaning. Alongside personal projects he produces commercial images for clients such as McLaren, Carlsberg, Peugeot and Dyson.
