1st Place - Outstanding Achievement Title: Lonely one to the end I have been working on a project what analyzes the rapid transformations that take place in the environment and in the social life. The city development is devoid of strategy and vision. The space allocated to the public domain and social utilities is reduced to the maximum, and the care of sick or elderly people is non-existent. New neighborhoods are not provided with schools, hospitals or care services. Access ways are overcrowded and any intervention is very difficult. In a country with a fragile democracy where the voice of civil society is not heard by the authorities, I want to bring into the spotlight the negative aspects that are happening here and now, and which can have major implications for the present and the future of the population. Through a series of staged photography, I want to raise the alarm by inducing feelings of alienation, isolation and hopelessness, before they would become an aggravated phenomenon and cause anxiety and trauma. They are a kind of surrealist scenes, burdensome moments or limit situations, but they are situations that could easily be found in a society where the care for people in difficulty does not exist. The image "Lonely one to the end" is part of the project and I thank to my mother for the support in making the image and her patience. She helped me a lot in making this picture exactly as I imagined it.
