Title: Rocking Chairs Awaiting their occupants, a row of rocking chairs bask in the afternoon sun by themselves. I was touring the mansion of the late John Deering which faces beautiful Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. I passed a window looking out onto the rear porch with this row of rocking chairs facing the expanse of the bay. It instantly became a reminder of days gone by when wealthy industrialists and their families would share a quiet afternoon in the seclusion of magnificent estates. It is almost as if you were being invited to enjoy the view.
