Title:Newly Hatched Pelican Chicks
Pelican chicks initially are very clumsy, getting used to their large web feet. Parents nest in remote locations to protect them from predators. It's rare to see the young chicks.

Biography:
Colorado is a great place to learn about photography. I began the hobby in February of 2021 and my adventures quickly become an obsession. During the Covid lockdowns I took several on-line courses including master courses, and set a personal goal to take a minimum of 400 photos a day. Those goals sent me in search of various Colorado wildlife. All of these photos have been taken either in my yard (all the bear and fawn photos), or within a 40 mile (64 kilometer) radius my home. |
