To me, photography has always represented the intersection of the aesthetic and the technical.
Trained as a molecular biologist, I am required to analyze the world around me, and as a result developed facility in laboratory methods. The technical aspects of photography are closely akin to laboratory bench work and hence become a “zone of comfort” that enables my self-expression.
