Title:Ugandan children study visitors to Bwindi National Park Local Ugandan children warily watch tourists with hiking poles and cameras on their treks to see endangered mountain gorillas. Fortunately for this Buhoma community, tourism income provides food and schooling. Fortunately for all downstream Ugandan, Sudanese and Egyptian communities, tourism has saved the Bwindi Forest – a critical headwater source of the White Nile. . The photograph was taken on a documentary expedition for No Water No Life to the Nile River Basin to study the watershed’s ecosystems, threats to quality, availability and usage of its water supply and management of this precious natural resource.
