Biography:
Born in 1965 in Sabadell ( Barcelona ) Lluís came to photography after a serious diving accident put an end to his career as a deep-sea diver. Ironically the accident happened when he was building the breakwaters that would protect the future beaches of Barcelona; beaches that now provide the colourful canvas on which his series The Beach is based.
Lluís studied photography at the Institut d’Estudis Fotografics de Catalunya, after which he started working for several agencies and newspapers in Barcelona.
