Title:Kaimanawa Stallions The Kaimanawa Wild Horse is New Zealand’s very own Heritage Horse living wild in the central North Island. They live in small roaming bands and are mustered every second year to keep the herd numbers manageable and protect the native vegetation. Their isolation has led to a unique gene pool. This photo of two stallions was taken during the 2010 muster in the Argo Valley, Waiouru.
